I’ve been in this Internet Marketing game for close to 3 years, and I can say I knows my own stuff quite well… I manage to not only solves whatever problems that comes along… BIG or small… but also manages to learn and put into practice every skill whenever it’s needed for my online business.

My only regret right now is I’ve got no time (or probably too lazy) to come out a product of my own.

Anyway, IM sucks… If not for the quick and lazy income I’m able to make, I wouldn’t consider carrying on this kind of life.

Now, for those who’re still struggling to learn the basics like editing html or how to control your cpanel… My advice here is don’t waste too much time trying to “master” these activities, if what you’re building is an Internet Business.

Instead these are what really important as your basic business fundamental, memorize them by heart…

Basically there are three activities you perform online (I’ve known
about this for a long time, but Rich Schefren coined it in this
specific order):

• Super Productive activies
• Productive activities
• Inefficient activities

Super productive activities are really easy to identify, they are
the activities that you do, that will establish a system to set
someone else up to do what you are doing. Did that make sense?

An example is if you are building your own links, it would be
building a system behind that link building process, and then
outsourcing it to someone or hiring someone to do that activity in
house… if you were spending say, 20 hours a week on just link
building, you’ve just bought yourself back 20 hours.

Productive activities are pretty simple as well…
these are things like finding jv partners, MOST aspects of building
your websites (so long as they are monetized), making sales calls,
getting your ebooks and putting them online and in clickbank,
writing sales letters etc. basically any activity that is
monetized.

Now, ALL these things can be outsourced… yes, I said ALL.

I can guarantee you that out there somewhere in the world there is
someone out there who is better than you at doing those activities,
now you might have to pay for them sure, and when you’re starting
out, you’ll be doing most of these yourself, but you start by
outsourcing a single component of this process (the monetization
aspect) and as your sites grow, so to does your
outsourcing/hiring.

Inefficient activities is where most people spend their time on.
Checking forums, checking stats (I remember when I first started I
used to check my stats at least 6 times a day… this was when I was
making MAYBE a few bucks a day or something in adsense… now I get a
report done for me that shows me the stats daily/weekly/monthly,
and funny enough, I’m doing a lot more now)

Don’t get me wrong, inefficient time can be useful… but just
recognize what it is you are doing… you are NOT building your
business in forums (unless you rely on it somehow, and if you are,
then that can be outsourced too), you are NOT building your
business by checking your stats 10 times a day… it can be fun, but
just recognize it for what it is.

When starting out, you should focus your time at about 10/80/10…
meaning 10% super productive, 80% productive, 10% inefficient
(you’ll always have about 10%… in reality it’s more like 50% but
let’s just say we’re hardcore into this… but we’re not total
robots)… as you grow your income past the $2,000 per month mark, it
should look more like 20/70/10, at $5,000 per month, 30/60/10,
$10,000 50/40/10 and so on… at the end, all you should be doing is
working on super productive activities.

The first thing you should outsource, is any income generating activity
that you do, to someone who is better at doing that activity (writing copy,
generating leads etc.)… just make sure you are making back more than you
are spending.

Unfortunately this is a topic that is a book all in itself, but
hopefully I’ve opened your eyes a little bit into how you should be
looking at building your business, rather than in just ‘dabbling
online’.

Well, I believe this sentence would be in anyone’s mind when they first decided to start their internet business online.

Those people who have been doing their business online for many years are also seeking for this answer desperately. Mainly because they either failed miserably, lose a huge some of money in those “get rich quick” programs or they are not patience enough to get through the “learning stage”.

Even if you ask the most successful entrepreneurs online, someone who has already earning huge money online, or the so-called gurus that coach student $500/hrs, I doubt they really know the answer.

What I mean is they can’t possibly make you a millionaire with just a few words of advice or throw you their success blueprints and say, “Hey, do this and you’ll be like me…”, because what they achieved is through lots of hard works and by learning from their failures. This takes not days, but years…

Does this mean you can’t succeed online?

Of course not, I’m not trying damper your dreams by saying all this, but this is a cold hard truth you need to understand if you were to build a successful internet business. To cut it short, you need to know actually what you want to do first, rather than letting others telling you what to do!

You see, I’m enthusiastic (some say busybody) when it comes to helping people to build their business online especially when it concerns about “internet marketing”. It helps me to be recognized as an authority in this line of field, but my main purpose was to increase my popularity. (I’ve said before, this is all hard works)

Anyway, I thought I’ll make a post here since I’ve taken the time to address on that question, read my answer below:

You’ll get yourself “information overload” by asking this questions. I predict you’ll get tons of marketers rushing their ways to answer you this question.

Practically any business offline can be brought online. But for a quick answer, I’ll break down the whole internet business into 4 major businesses that are the most popular at this point of time:

 

Affiliate Marketing

Ebay

MLM

Blogs/Article Marketing

All these different businesses have earn their standing on the internet throughout the tested time. No doubt you can earn a living, or even quit your day job if you are really successful, but it all comes to having some hard work by learning some marketing skills and doing a lot of research/studies on the particular field you are interested. Just do a Yahoo search and you’ll get as much information as you want, take your time!

I suggest you don’t jump into any get-rich scheme or hop around every opportunities you thought can make you money, instead you’ll only get yourself losing money or wasting precious time.

You should start off by asking yourself 3 questions:

 

What am I interested in?
(Most commonly known as your hobbies or any activity you like to do during your free time…)

What skills or knowledge do I have?
(Maybe you are good in cooking, excellence in playing golf, have a nice singing voice…)

What resources you have?
(Can be your money, time or even some old junks which people consider antiques that you can actually sell on ebay…)

I hope this help you as well as the people reading this, because for me, I’ve wasted too much time and money trying to figure out a way online to earn some quick cash. That’s why anyone who try to start online without any directions will follow the same path like me… – Eric Tan

The website is hosted for you, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t have your own domain. More important, this isn’t just a single income source website, but with multiple streams of income that you can generate immediately upon creating the website.

The only glitch to this system is you’ll need an Adsense account (Oops! Am I allowed to disclose?), if you don’t have one, it can be quite a pain in the a** for you. But if you sign up for the membership under me, I can teach you how to create an Adsense account for free in under 2 weeks time. But of course I’ve not forgotten my blog since I did all these for the sake of providing quality information and products through my blog to you. My hope is that you will benefits from every product’s introduction I’ve made.

Initially I thought of doing a review on the seven dollar script, but I feel that it’s not really a good investment for any newbies trying to kick start their business. First, I want to make sure I’ve master the skill to install the program script with my both eyes closed, so I can help to solve or answer any question if you encounter during the installation. Secondly, you need to have your own product in order to do the selling, or at least a PLR product that you can modified to become your own. But I’ll still write a whole topic in the future on how to install, how to create and how to make money from a 7 dollar products…

Right now, I’ll concentrate on products that’s suitable for building your business’s basic foundation. Remember the first product I introduced, it’s Ewen Chia’s “Internet Business For Newbies”? The best thing about it is, it’s FREE, correct? But the main disadvantage are the content provided is quite limited, Ewen’s also not frequently making a lot of updates on the site too. But what do you expect from something free? Now, if you think you are really serious about your internet business, and of course, one single training material like IBFN won’t be enough for you to really make money like the gurus did. But like I said, your basic business skills are really important and can determine your future success or failure. If financially allowed, you can even try to invest on a quality training material, best is to get yourself a business mentor.

The key factor here is to learn and “model” from a successful person. No point trying to invent the wheel by yourself, by modelling from people with proven success will shortcut your way tremendously. You wouldn’t want to spend 20-30 years just to achieve success with your own unique style of business method when you can “copy” from others and implement it within 2 years time?

To cut everything short, Ewen is the guy you can try to learn and model his success. If you ever had a chance to hear him speak, you’ll notice he speak slow and monotonously, not like those people where they’re rushing a speed bullet train. From the way he speak, you can be sure he’s not a person who’s trying to sell you something from his “salesman” sweet talk, but rather his actions and sincerity that makes you wants to buy from him.

He’s also just an average guy like you and me, so modelling him is not a mission impossible task. To model his success, you can either 1) engage him as your personal mentor/business advisor, but according to his credibility, you may have to fork out few grands per hour of consultation fees 2) observe him and watch his every move, but I can warn you, his success is not in days or weeks, but years of hard work since 1997, so it may takes years to do this. Unless your father had saved his father’s life 30 years ago, and he’s now willing to teach you personally on how to make money online, otherwise learning from him will be more than just using a photocopy machine.

What if, there’s a chance for you to learn from his success from scratch… with just a little investment effort on your part?

The fact that I admire him is, he’s always trying to invent something that’s not too complicated and difficult to understand for average person like you and me, the amazing part is, it works. Maybe this is because he always do things by putting his customer in his heart.
