Promoting Affiliate Links On Ebay
Recently I received a newsletter from the author of “Silent Sales Machine“, Jim Cockrum. He’s the guy to look for if you’re going make a profit on Ebay. By the way, he currently having a crazy sale selling this most popular ebay guide book for only $29.97 (usual $97). Go get it now before he pulls down this offer:
» Silent Sales Machine Hiding On Ebay
Back to his newsletter, where he revealed a tips on how to promote your affiliate link on ebay using some stealth tactics without violating ebay’s policy.
Here are the brief description on his tactics:
- Find the appropriate affiliate links to match what you’re selling on Ebay auctions, either from Clickbank.com or CJ.com for free.
- Purchase a cheap domain and use the domain forwarding to point your new domain name to your affiliate links.
- Create an email account using your domain name (e.g. Eric@BestLaptopGadgets.com) and use it as your main Ebay auction email address.
The reason that you do this is to drive traffics from Ebay to your affiliate page, which you have directed it to the domain you’ve purchased. When a customer that bought your Ebay products that’s related to your affiliate products saw your email address, he/she will be curious at the website you have… (BestLaptopsGadgets.com)
These customers will most likely be typing in your domain name in their web browser and take a look at what they are already interested in. Since they are still in a buying mood, you’ll probably earn yourself another affiliate commission.
This is surely a great idea to monetize your affiliate links through Ebay, and I’ll definitely give it a try.
But the problem here is most people, especially newbies, might afraid that committing a monthly cost will be a great risk for them. Here are some of my own ideas that’s similar to the above method without incurring any cost on you:
- If you already have your own domain, create a sub-domain using the keywords of your products (e.g. BestLaptopGadgets.yourdomain..com), so that you’ll have an email of (e.g. yourname@BestLaptopGadgets.yourdomain.com)
- Create a free web account that’s easily available on the net using your main product’s keywords, but must also offer free email accounts. (e.g. BestLaptopGadgets.50webs.com)
- If you’re really lazy to do so much, just go to any Google or Yahoo and create a free account. (e.g. BestLaptopGadgets@gmail.com) But please note that by using this method, account names are limited, you have to grab it fast.
I know it doesn’t look really nice with these free methods, but I think it’ll helps you in a way or so before you can rake in some incomes to invest in a better and much presentable domain names.
One more thing to note is to try and create an opt in forms on your landing page, so you can capture the email address of your customers where you can “recommend” other offers to them in the future.
I hope these methods can help you make more money on the internet, I’ll try to post more affiliate marketing tips and techniques whenever I come across more. Feel free to comment if you think you’ve got better ideas…
