Most Important Key Factor To Suceed In Your Business

Before I start, there’s a person I want you to meet today.

YOU.

You see, one of the most important keys in succeeding in business, is really your ability to ‘know thyself’.

When I teach the newbies, I usually ask them these questions…

“What are you truly passionate about?”

Urm…

“What do you reckon, is your strongest business skill?

Urrrh…

“What is your business goals and objectives?”

Hmm…

As Homer Simpson would say, DOH!

You gotta know yourself, more than anyone else inside out.

What are your strengths, weaknesses, idiosyncrasies goals, etec?

Are you a ‘starter’ or a ‘finisher’?

What kind of dominant character traits do you possess?

Knowing yourself is probably the best thing you can do for yourself.

One of my favorite magicians Earl Nelson, is a winner of multiple awards, and has a very soft spoken, unassuming style of performing magic.

A far cry from a flamboyant, flashy, larger than life type of performer.

His thoughts on ‘humor’ are:

“Good magic makes my audience laugh. When a magical effect is so powerful, people have a natural tendency to laugh because they don’t know how to react to the feelings of astonishment.”

He doesn’t strive to ‘add’ comedy into his act because he knows how downright silly he’ll appear if a person with his personality attempted a one liner.

Focus on your strengths. Not your weaknesses.

If you focus on your weaknesses, then all you’ll have are strong weaknesses.

This is the same reason why I don’t even try to ‘design’ a website or ‘install’ a script.

It’s just not up my alley.

Once you’ve isolated your strengths and weaknesses, then take time to ACCEPT what and who you are.

This act of ‘acceptance’ is crucial…

Because only when you can recognize what you truly bring to the ‘table’, can you start exploiting your full potential and strengths, whereby you can then hire the right people to make up for your weaknesses.
